That yellow tubing is state-of-art material for natural gas pipeline.
Dusty, clay soil, re-bar everywhere; pray the ground won’t sink after the first rain (whenever that will be!).
This is just after our swimming pool, installed in 1978, was demolished and filled with dirt.
That’s very high voltage at the very top. The temporary orange insulation on two lines is in case they bump their heads.
We’re happy to keep our old lines; neighbors got theirs replaced.
Deteriorated with age, and heavily damaged by woodpeckers, it’s out with the old pole.
There was talk about using that big auger to drill a new hole. Good thing they we able to reused the same space, less chance of damaging the tree roots.

Notice how, in these early aerial photos, they’ve hardly begun construction of the cellphone tower at Lincoln and Lincoln.
Humongous storage facility being build on Curtner, east of highway 87. Looks like cellphone reception will be exceptional.
The filter container burst while the pump was running, emptied almost all the water out of the pool, and flooded the garage ruining years of old New Yorker magazines!
Took some time to refill.
